Bill Baker, Tony Clark & John Nicholls sorting out hundreds of Shoe Boxes

Rotary provides humanitarian services and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations to advance goodwill and peace around the world.

It is our aim to bring a little ray of sunshine into the lives of disadvantaged children every Christmas.  The Rotary Shoebox Scheme has been running since the 1990's and draws together local communities, who prepare gifts of shoeboxes containing toys, toiletries, educational items or household goods for impoverished people of Eastern Europe.  Dedicated members, checking and sorting donated boxes for distribution on 12th November are hoping to exceed last years record number of 765 boxes.

On Wednesday 14th December the Annual Rotary Christmas Carol Concert will take place at St. Mark's Church, Hinton Wood Avenue, Highcliffe, BH23 5AB starting at 19h45. Donations received on the night will go to The Winton Salvation Army Band, who shall be providing the music. Mike Reynolds, a founding member of Highcliffe Rotary has been taking care of this event which has been enjoyed by members of the local community for many years. Please come along and sing along with the band, and meet your local Rotarians.

Highcliffe School teachers, joined Rotary members at the Club night at Hoburne Bashley to promote Friends of Highcliffe School's Winter Fair on Saturday 3rd December.

"We are raising money to go towards providing much needed rain shelters around the school site for our students. The Winter Fair is open to all and we hope it will become an annual event for the local community to enjoy. We will have festive crafts, a photobooth, entertainment, refreshments and a Santa’s grotto, as well as a fantastic raffle and bidding wall.

We are particularly keen to welcome local residents and members of the wider community to our event, it would be lovely to see you there!"
